Akshara Gowda (born Harini Gowda on 24 December 1989 in Bangalore, Karnataka) is an Indian film actress who has appeared in Hindi and Tamil films. She also is a model and has appeared for several advertisements under leading brands.

Akshara made a special appearance in Thuppakki and played a role in the festival film Chitkabrey - The Shades of Grey. She made her Bollywood debut in Priyadarshan's Rangrezz in 2013.

Akshara is scheduled to appear in Ajith-vishnuvardhan's untitled tamil film.Gowda was born in Bangalore, Karnataka. Her father, JPS Gowda, is a Businessman, and her mother, Gowri Gowda, is a Housewife. Her family is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Gowda has a younger sister, Harshitha, born on 27 November 1999 (who is a 10yrs younger and studying in high school).

Gowda attended The New Cambridge High School(Vijayanagar) in Bangalore, and completed her pre-university studies at Vijaya junior College(jayanagar) Bangalore and went on to do Engineering in SKIT college(tumkur road) Bangalore. While in high school she played ThrowBall at the state level and also had interest in Table Tennis. However, During the time of her Engineering she started doing modeling locally. Akshara Gowda was linked to indian criketer Yuvraj singh. However, Gowda immediately denied it and said it was mere media imagination.. Akshara decide to keep her personal life away from media attention. In 2013, Gowda slated she would pefer arranged marriage and guy whom her father would pick.
