She had done her graduation in B.Com from Vinayak Ganesh Vaze College of Arts, Science & Commerce (Kelkar College), Mumbai and M.Com from Mumbai University. Her first acting assignment was in the Marathi serial Char Chaughi. She portrayed the role of Devika. Rucha is currently playing the lead in Star Plus serial Saath Nibhaana Saathiya as Rashi. She won the Favourite Naya Sadasyaa award in the 2011 Star Parivaar Awards.

Rashi in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya Saath Nibhaana Saathiya is an Indian television drama series that airs on STAR Plus. The series premiered on May 3, 2010 and is based on the lives of two cousins post marriage. She plays an antagonist Rashi in Saath Nibhana Saathiya and a bit more modern look than the protagonist Gopi Bahu.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee is was born to a Bengali family and is born and brought up at Sivasagar, Assam was a Bengali and her mother belongs to an Assamese family. She has an younger brother. Devoleena who is from Sivasagar, Assam came to the city of Mumbai to try her luck in the entertainment industry. And this was when her mother gave her daughter all the support that she needed. She even accompanied Devoleena to Mumbai along with her son.

However, there was a phase when her mother who is working in ONGC could not get adjusted to the fast life of Mumbai. This was when she applied for a shift back to Assam last year. She has done her schooling from GBME School, Sivasagar Assam. She has completed the graduation In Commerce(Accountancy Honors). She has done the Jewellery Designing and Development course from NIFT,

New Delhi and worked in GILI, MIDC Mumbai. She has learned classical music till visharad part 1 in Assam at very early stage. Later she has learned Bharatnatyam from Kalakshetra, Chennai. She has also learned Bharatnatyam from Kalakshetra, Chennai. She has won a lot of dance competitions. And was in the Top 100 in Dance India Dance (season 2).

Acting Career[edit source | edit] She started her acting career while she was in 6th standard. Then after a long break she participated in a one act drama competition, followed by lots of plays and theatres in Assam. While working with Gili as a Jewellery designer, she signed a contract in Colors TV for a new show "KUDESAN" but the show was scrapped due to the policy changes of the channel. After that she joined Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto with NDTV Imagine as Bani. 

The story is located against a Punjabi backdrop and is based on the lives of five sisters. Devoleena Bhattacharjee played the role of Baani Kaur Dhillon, younger sister of Preeto in the serial. Currently, she plays the role of Gopi is STAR Plus Saath Nibhana Saathiya which was being played by Giaa Manek. As Giaa Manek wants to participate in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, she left the show and Devoleena got the chance to play the role. She is paired opposite Ahem Modi(Mohammad Nazim) in the show. The shows TRP's initially dropped due to Giaa Manek's replacement in the show but after Devoleena's entry in the show, the show started gaining high TRP's that it ever had.

Disha is seen as the lead Pankhudi,she is being casted opposite to Nakkul Mehta in the show who is seen as the male lead. Disha Parmar family initially opposed her decision to act,as they wanted her to complete her studies first, but later supported her and currently staying in Mumbai with her parents and elder brother since the last six months. The serial has slowly started gaining popularity, making Ishita TV’s new charming girl. The young actress, who has studied mass media, is not new to acting; she has already done a Telugu film. But she then moved on to TV rather than graduate to Bollywood?

Ishita says she decided to go with what came her way and moved on to the small screen after doing the movie down south. Ek Ghar Banaunga also has a promising premise and Ishita plays the lead role in the serial.
